Ben Giles Architect

Established in 2008, my practice is based on the principle of remaining personally involved with every project for its duration.

This has proved a successful approach and seen many completed works.  Clients have often said the finished result exceeded their expecations and the process was far smoother than they had expected.

The design principle is that a house should be simple; a house should feel good; and that it will be desigined to suit its budget.

The house will connect to its surrounds, indoor and outdoor areas will flow together, and we will use natural light to make uplifting interiors.

I graduated in architecture from University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and have had over thirty years experience in both Australia and the UK in a number of architectural practices and on a wide variety of project-types.

Beyond practice, I also participate in the architecture profession as an examiner for both the NSW Architects Registration Board and the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia as well as occasional teaching in the architecture programs of a number of universities.

And when I'm not doing that I pursue my love of writing through a part-time Creative Writing degree. Meanwhile my wife and I are raising our two boys in an inner-city apartment where we are known as the 'small-space specialists,' a tagline we can't quite shake.
