This project involved alterations and additions to an existing two-storey terrace house. The original house had a series of small spaces that were not suitable for contemporary family living. The design involved the creation of a large open-plan living/ dining/ kitchen area at the rear of the ground floor. A series of outdoor decks then extend the living space to the outdoors via large sliding doors. A new bathroom/ laundry is located towards the centre of the house.
Construction included demolition of a series of load-bearing walls, installation of a new beam system and polished concrete floor slab. The kitchen includes stainless steel and solid timber benchtops.
