This project involved the demolition of an existing garage and studio at the rear of a house, fronting a secondary street.  In doing this, a portion of the garden was reclaimed to increase the amount of landscaping.  The new structure, which negotiates a step in the ground level to the rear street, comprises a new garage and secondary dwelling including combined living, dining kitchen downstairs and  bedroom loft space.
